FOOD
(March 2017)
FOOD is both good to eat and pleasing to the eye. Wasn’t it generous of God to create FOOD, and to make it not just sustenance for the body but also edifying to the eyes and soul!?! FOOD was (and is) a huge part of Jesus’ ministry - both before and after his resurrection. The first miracle in his public ministry, and last command before going to the cross had to do with FOOD (ok - food and wine actually, but you get the idea)! He called himself the bread of life! It is clear that FOOD, the beauty and nourishment we receive from it, and it’s particularity, and taste (the once sense that we have some choice over) point to the incarnational ministry of God.
Thank you God for FOOD!
In these photos we explored a morning of FOOD in and around ICS. Please vote on your favorite pic!

Memento Mori (Sept 2016)
Psalm 90:12 - “Teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Memento Mori is a genre of art in which death is examined as a reminder of our mortality and the precious limitedness of our days.
It is a reminder not to get lost in the cares of this world, and not to squander our time, but to really live.
